The Central Idea: Central Presbyterian Church is a member of the Cascades Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is an active community of nearly 600 faithful members and friends of all ages. They live out their faith in Jesus Christ in many ways. Central supports the campus ministry at Koinonia Center and welcomes students and faculty. Through their mission and outreach they help the poor, the homeless, and the vulnerable in their community and abroad. Join with them as they work in their community. They have worshipped in Eugene as a Presbyterian congregation since 1855. Their mission statement reflects their theology and vision of this community of faith.
Central Presbyterian Church is in the West University neighborhood of Eugene at the corner of 15th and Patterson. Join them as they celebrate the Lord at 8:30 and 11:00 Sundays in their beautiful sanctuary. Their musical offerings, both contemporary and traditional, help them to come before the Lord with singing. As Presbyterians, they encourage lay leadership in each service. Supervised nursery care with paid staff is provided during both worship hours for infants through age 24 months. Assisted hearing devices, large print hymnals, Bibles and programs and wheelchairs are also available for use. They invite all who attend their services to join them after each service for coffee and a chance to experience the remarkable friendliness for which Central is known.
